An article from Seattlepi.com:
Here’s a line score oddity the Mariners never expected or wanted to see: Erik Bedard with more home runs allowed than strikeouts.
But Friday at Peoria Sports Complex, the left-hander surrendered a pair of two-run homers while notching one strikeout in five innings.
In 18 innings this spring, Bedard has struck out eight and allowed seven homers — more than any pitcher in baseball.
“This has to be a record,” said Bedard, a man of very few words who doesn’t offer any insight on what’s gone wrong.
Were Bedard to keep up this pace during the season, and pitch the same number of innings he did last year, he’d give up 71 home runs.

At least he’ll be on the mound come opening day.
Misery loves company (see Lackey and Granderson).
