I’m also reminded of an unpublished outtake of the second La Ruina Podcast (”Let’s Get Drunk and Record In Studio!”), when Rosen postulated that Ponson’s dismissal from the Texas Rangers involved taunting Josh Hamilton with substances Josh Hamilton doesn’t use anymore.
As good of a theory as I’ve heard.

La Ruina Memories: Back in I believe 2002 when there was no cap on the number of moves that could be made in a given season I decided to just add starters that were pitching against bad teams and then drop them the next day. So one day I see Ponson is going against Tampa, so I add him. I go golfing the next day, realize that I forgot to start him and rush to find someone with a cell phone so I can call my sister. Relieved that she answered I tell her all about my blunder and talk her through getting to the site, my passwords, how to edit my lineup etc. Finally, I can rest and enjoy my day now. When I got home, he gave up 8 runs in 2 innings. Thanks.
