FASANO - fas-ah-no

1. a man living off the earnings or gifts of a woman, esp. a younger man supported by an older woman in return for his sexual attentions and companionship.
2. a male professional dancing partner or escort.
3. an Italian American male usually residing in New York or New Jersey. Known for shirts that are too tight and unbuttoned. Spends more time on his hair than his girlfriend, and continues to “hit the clubs” long into his mid to late 30’s. Often attracted to the female version of himself, the “fasanette.”
4. a professional athlete with a caterpillar under his lip.

Catcher Victor Martinez’s right elbow surgery is having a ripple effect throughout the organization.
The Indians acquired veteran catcher Sal Fasano, 36, from Atlanta on Thursday for a player to be named. Fasano, playing at Class AAA Richmond (Va.), joined the Indians right before game time.
